When I sketched this man with his dog on the train, a woman sat next to me and immediately began watching me draw.  After a few stops, she complemented my doodle and asked if I liked illustration.  I probably looked annoyed, but she looked like she'd lost a few hours of sleep.  Looking into her hazy, fatigue-red eyes made me wonder if it was her delirium being so friendly to me.

I found out that she had in fact lost a lot of sleep this week as she's a fashion photographer shooting photos for New York fashion week.  She said she looks forward to this time of year.  Her plans after next week include London, Milan, then Paris.  Then she returns to Italy for some rest.

She wrote the address of her friend's fashion illustration site in my doodle.  As we left the train she wished me luck and I lost site of her in the crowd at Lorimer.
